The sins of Appu’s mother – interesting

I chanced upon an English translation of T.Janakiraman’s book, and spent a couple of hours immersed in it. It was an interesting read, and made me think and wonder about a lot of things. Definitely worth reading.


Noble House – enjoyable

I finally finished James Clavell’s Noble House, though I suffered a bit of memory loss owing to have extended the reading over the course of nearly six weeks. Towards the end, I just had to keep reading (both because it was gripping and because I wanted to finish reading it and move on to the next book). 

Aunt Erma’s Cope Book – hilarious

Erma Bombeck’s “Aunt Erma’s Cope Book” is just what I’d expect from her – a highly recommended dose of humour. I nearly choked on my coffee while reading it, so I guess I shouldn’t read such funny stuff sitting my by myself in a public place without inviting strange looks…
