I stumbled upon Clare Boylan’s Black Baby by chance. It wasn’t a very long read, but I didn’t particularly enjoy it – at the end of the book, I didn’t really know what I’d read.
I really enjoyed ‘The printer’s devil’ by Paul Bajoria. It was fast-paced, and though predictable at times, it proved to be an enjoyable read.
I’m going through a phase of books set in the Orient, and Snow Flower and the secret fan by Lisa See is just that. It was thought-provoking, and I enjoyed the matter-of-fact way of talking about things like foot binding. A pleasant read.
